Strengthening access for young people to the National Redress Scheme

The establishment of a National Redress Scheme (the Scheme) was recommended by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. It is a way for organisations who have joined the Scheme to acknowledge and provide support to people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse.

Child Wise has developed a number of resources to help young people learn about the Scheme, as they may be eligible to apply when they turn 18. Parents, carers and professionals can also access resources to help inform young people about the Scheme and support them on their journey.
